Are interns required to be registered?
Yes. Provisional registration by the PBA is a specific requirement of the new law.
No credit will be allowed for any supervised practice undertaken before provisional registration has been granted. Interns and their preceptors can check the register at http://www.ahpra.gov.au/Registration/Registers-of-Practitioners.aspx to ascertain the date of approval of application.
No credit will be allowed for any supervised practice undertaken at a place which has not been approved as a practice site. A separate approval must be obtained each time a new intern commences. Forms and further information are available at http://www.pharmacyboard.gov.au/Internship.aspx
